Services for James W. "Jimmy" McCormick, 71, who died at the hospital at Hayti Jan. 19th, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church of God in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dan Black officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born in Darden, Tenn., Mar. 19th, 1905, the son of the late Elic and Martha Jane McCormick. On July 25th, 1929 he married Miss Annie Myrtle Jones in Caruthersville. He owned and operated the McCormick Mop Factory before retiring. He was member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Meyer of Fairdealing,, Mrs. Ann Grady of Pascola, and Mrs. Lavone Ramsey and Mrs. Phyllis Whittemore, both of Caruthersville; one sister, Mrs. Frances Phillips of Riverbanks, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
