Mary Hunady was the daughter of Andrew Hunady and Veronika Slafka.

She married Joseph Petro abt 1898.

Mary died at Elyria Memorial Hospital in Elyria, OH and was buried 29 Jul 1936.

Mrs. Mary Petro, wife of Joseph Petro Sr. and mother of Justice of the Peace, Joseph Q. Petro, passed away at Elyria Memorial Hospital, Monday morning, 27 July 1936, at 7 o'clock. Mrs. Petro whose home was on West River Road, Rural Delivery 3, Elyria, was born in Hungary, April 13, 1869, and came to this city from Amherst 19 years ago. She was also a former resident of Lorain, Ohio.

Other survivors are a son, Charles C. Petro, of Elyria, five daughters, Mrs. Preston Coon, wife of Justice of Peace of Carlisle township, Mrs. Maynard Cahl and Miss Betty all of Elyria, Mrs. J. Gubeno of Lakewood; Mrs. Clarence Daugherty of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; brother Stephen Hunady of Lorain; also eight grandchildren.

The body will be removed this evening from the Bittner Funeral Home to the late home, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, 29 July 1936, at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 o'clock from St. Agnes Church of which the deceased was a member. Reverend Father Leo Bissell will officiate, and burial will be in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
