Bio and Links
Besides posting memorials for my family and extended family, my major focus is to honor Slovak and Rusyn immigrants to America.

I continue to be amazed at the bravery of those individuals in leaving family and friends in their home village to make a long journey to a far off land for a dangerous job among strangers.

Normally, I add amplifying information to the memorial so that future researchers from the within the U.S. or overseas will be able to identify their relative or fellow villager.

I apologize for any mistakes and will gladly make corrections or transfer a memorial - JUST SEND AN E-MAIL identifying yourself, the memorial, and your request (note: PLEASE DO NOT USE the Find-a-Grave "edit" tab - I do not monitor it). Also, please feel free to use any of my photographs.

Paul & Theresa Lesko grave photo

Thanks so much for taking and posting this photo, last winter! This is such a nice thing to do and I didn't even ask for it.

Let me know if I can reciprocate.

Find a Grave community Day.
Find a Grave community Day.- Sent to me from Cypressgreen.
This may be of interest to you
Find a Grave Community Day across the US at various Cemeteries. Check for one close to you!
I follow them on FB and for Find A Grave Community Day some people will be going to Woodland Cemetery to meet and photograph!
The idea is to get as many gravers as possible in the US (or abroad!) to fill outstanding photo requests, take photos for new entries, and meet others in their area.
, so I wanted you to know. There are already 5 of us signed up. St.Johns and St Josephs have about 200 requests and are very close.

Jim, thanks so much for posting that headstone photo in June 2015!I just saw it. By chance did you find one for his wife Paraska (Pauline) Osho Zachar? Her memorial is 133232785. She was born in 1892 and died in 1921. Also buried at Calvary. Thanks Judy Bunasky

re: 99661803
Elizabeth Schmidt Yaharaus #99661803 - please delete this one after you move her death certificate to her memorial at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland # 150355358. I transferred them both to to you. I put her memorial in Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland - but I don't know how to copy and move her death certificate to her "Cleveland" memorial. SO Sorry to give you a mess, Jim!

Do you know if there is another burial in this lot. Her husband Bertalan "Bert" Jakab, died in 1957 but I've not been able to locate his burial.

Mary Oblak
You have a grave for a Mary Oblak married to Martin Oblak, son John Oblak. The birth and death dates you used are for her sister in law Mary Jesenko Oblak who was married to Pavel "Paul" Oblak. Paul died in 1943 and I have Paul's wife Mary immigration records that have the Aug 26 1886 birth date, Ziri, Logatec, Jugoslavia. She Died May 25 1967.

Martins wife Mary was Mary Srenscek Oblak born 1886 but died March 21 1967. I do not have any birth information for her.

The death obits for both of these Mary's were found at the Cleveland public library sites. I can email you the records if you like. My email is Beth

bio is completely wrong
I just joined yesterday and don't know how to get in to manage a memorial. #122237290 Zuzanna Hurajt I would like transferred to me. There isn't a Susan Harchan. My aunt had the wrong info on the death certificate. The bio should be about Zuzanna Hurajt. Also I would like Andrew Hurajt #122237274 transferred to me. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do. It is greatly
appreciated! When you transfer it to me, would I
be able to correct the bio immediately or is there a form for that?

Antonija Zakrajsek
I sent an edit to remove her Maiden Name and an edit to remove her Husband. Math Zakrajsek's wife Antonia Perko Zakrajsek died in 1990. I have her Obituary listing him as her Husband and Calvary said the Antonia who died in 1990 is buried next to him. Thanks for approving the edits. I will link the correct Antonia after you approve the edits.
Happy New Year,
