He lived his later years with daughter Shirley Lords in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He died 24 Dec 2000 at the age of 98 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and is buried in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery in Ririe, Bonneville, Idaho.
