"Otto Wiegand, 80, resident of Port Huron and vicinity 62 years, died this morning in his home, 1714 Tenth Street, after a long illness.

Mr. Wiegand was born in Germany, June 26, 1859. He moved from Germany to Marysville when 18 and later moved to Port Huron. He was a member of St John's Evangelical church and the Woodmen of the World.

Mr. Wiegand is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Wiegand; a daughter, Mrs. Adelaide Yelton, Port Huron; two sons, Benjamin Wiegand, Kalamazoo and Simon Wiegand, Port Huron; a brother, Herman Wiegand, Port Huron and two granddaughters, Miss Dorothy Yelton, and Miss Marion Wiegand, both of Port Huron.

The remains are in the Arthur A Smith funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev E J Soell, pastor of St John's church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery."
