Mrs. Mary Bieker was born at Herndon, Rawlins County, Kansas. She was the daughter of B. H. Berning. She departed this life October 6, 1934, at 1:45 a.m., at her home, two miles north of Marienthal, at the age of 45 years, and 4 months. She moved to this county with her parents in 1916. On February 4th, 1919 she was united in marriage to Mr. Casper Biker. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and seven step children, an aged father, six sisters and four brothers, and a host of friends. Her death was a shock to the community.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church, Marienthal, Monday morning at 8:00.
Rev. Fr. Cyprian had charge at the church services. Interment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery.
