Page 1. Report of death yesterday of Frank Leslie Dunn, 82, of 4 Park Avenue, Eastborough, owner of Dunn Investment Company and former owner of the Dunn Mercantile Company.
Born May 17, 1871 in Lockland, Ohio. Survived by one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Dunn, 417 North Quintin, one brother, Horace J. Dunn, 324 South Terrace Drive, and two
granddaughters. Came to Wichita in 1879 from Cincinnati, as a boy.

Frank Leslie Dunn was a member of The Rotary, The Wichita Club and the Sunflower Club. He was president of the League of Kansas Municipalities while [Wichita] City Commissioner in 1929.

Frank Dunn was mayor of Wichita, Kansas from 1924-1925 and 1928-1929. First appointed mayor 2/4/1924. Served as Wichita City Commissioner 1924-1930, finally resigning on 7/7/1930. On June 15, 1937 Frank Dunn was elected, unopposed, as mayor of Eastborough, east of Wichita.

Page 3. The Dunn Mercantile Company stores of Wichita have been purchased by the Kroger Grocery and Baking Company of Cincinnati, Ohio for nearly one million dollars. Article gives history of the Dunn firm, which started in 1891 as Lehman and Dunn at 520 East Douglas. Mayor Frank Dunn was later joined in the business by his twin brothers, Harry
and Horace Dunn, and Lehman left the business in 1894. There are now 24 Dunn stores in Wichita.
