Millard F. Kantz

Millard F. Kantz, 76, of 226 E. Donmoyer Ave., died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kantz was a Standart Oil Co. employee, retiring in 1956 after 33 ½ years. Born Dec. 10, 1897, in Elkhart, he had lived here 50 years, coming from Culver.

His wife, Hazel, survives. Also surviving are a son, M. Dean of South Bend; two grandchildren; a half-brother, Donald of Elkhart, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Alford of Elkhart.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Forest G. hay and Son Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. John D. Hall, pastor of the Southlawn United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Kantz was a member of Broadway Christian Parish and active in the Boy Scouts of America, having received the Silver Beaver award.
