SP. 1- ERICK T. ERICKSON. 2- THOMAS NELSON. 3- KNUTE BRAKKE.

2nd w/o Knute Brakke

d/o Helge n. & Anna ( Harvia ) Lee

Mrs. Knute Brakke died October 13 and was buried October 17 following services at East St. Olaf church, Rev. Johnson of Hayfield, officiating, owing to the absence of Rev. Preus.

Agnes Lee was born August 24th, 1860, in Rock Dell township. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Helge Lee.

She was married to Erick T. Erickson in 1881 and to them were born four children, Edwin, Annie, Elmer, and Ella, who died in infancy.

She lived for several years in Rochester, her husband being a salesman here. They moved to Havana where Mr. Erickson died. Mrs. Erickson moved to Kasson and lived there for eight years. She was then married to Thomas Nelson, a farmer near Owatonna, and to them were born one son, who lived two years. There also her two oldest children, Edwin and Annie, died. Her husband also passed away.

She moved back to Olmsted county with her son, Elmer, and bought her father's farm. In 1908 she was married to Knut Brakke. Her son died a few years later.

Mrs. Brakke was chairman of the Red Cross in Rock Dell township during the time of the war and she spared neither herself nor her time in the work. She accomplished much in the way of organization. She was also a very willing worker in the church and in her home she was exceptionally hospitable and kindly.

Her health had failed for some time, her last trouble being chronic anemia.

She is survived by her husband and eight step-children. Gurine, Julia, Cora, John, Albert, Lawrence, Leander, and Grant Brakke. There are also two sisters, Mrs. J.M. Peterson, Hayfield; Mrs. D.B. Brakke, Rock Dell; and three brothers, Nels Lee, Dexter; John Lee, Kasson, and Ole Lee, Fergus Falls.

At the funeral services Wednesday Miss Opal Sattre of Kasson, sang, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." The church was filled to capacity and the floral offerings were many and beautiful, demonstrating the esteem in which Mrs. Brakke was held. Those present from away were, Peter Lee, Deerfield, Wis.; Ole Lee, Fergus Falls; Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Harvei, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Harvei, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moe, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Harvei, and Mrs. B. Trae, Lake Mills, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. C. Larson, Mason City, Iowa; O. Furness, Emmons, Minn.; Theodore Nelson, Albert Lea; Ole Nelson, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Thompson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chr.
