OBITUARY: Funeral services for Mrs. W.S. Hendricks are to be held Thursday afternoon, February 13, 1958 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church, Gotebo, with Rev. R.L. Glasgow, Hinton, officiating.

Sarah Rose Spraggins Hendricks was born to Mrs. and Mrs. William Spraggins, April 7, 1884 in Cooke Co., TX and departed this life at her home near Gotebo, February 11, 1958 at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 3 days. She was united in marriage to William Stephen Hendricks, November 6, 1907. They lived in New Mexico for three years before moving to the Lake Valley community and later moved just north of Gotebo.

Seven children were born to this union, two died in infancy and a son, TC Hendricks, was killed in action in WWII.

Her husband preceded her in death, November 26, 1950.

Survivors include two sons; Ellis J. Hendricks, San Francisco, California; Troy Hendricks, Gotebo; two daughters, Mrs. Tom Shepherd, Gotebo; and Mrs. Lane Key, Chickasha; two sisters, Zora McCallister, Gainesville, Texas and Lillie Heltz of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Andrew Evans, Jim Shepherd, V. Suitor, Darwin Selle, Pat Carroll and Jim Rudd.
