Mrs. Effie May Scott, 71, who had lived in Lebanon most of her life, died at 4 a.m. today at Witham Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday. She had been in failing health the past two years and seriously ill the past six months.
Mrs. Scott, whose home was at 424 West Dicks, was born in Montgomery county, October 17, 1901, the daughter of Seth and Malissa Redenbaugh Brown. She was married in April, 1923, in Crawfordsville to Ira C Scott, who died in 1960.
Survirors include two sons Robert E. and Charles W. Scott, both of Lebanon; two daughters Mrs. Don (Karen Sue) Lawson of Thorntown and Mrs. Orville (Louise) Dale of Lebanon; two sisters Mrs. Marion Lytle of New Ross and Mrs. Frances Hatfield of Lebanon. A sister and half-brother are deceased.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
