Funeral services for George Green, 82, who died Friday afternoon at his home in Davenport, 1023 West Third Street, were conducted at 2:30 pm. today at the Hoffman Funeral Home. The Rev. Ira B. Hawley, pastor of the United Brethren church was in charge and the burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Green was born Oct. 25, 1849, in Illinois and for many years had operated a portable sawmill in this vicinity. His wife died about 47 years ago. Surviving is a son Don, in Arizona. (Should be Ernest John not Don)
