Daughter to Fred & Lou Smith. She grew up in Philisburg, MT. After graduating from high school, she moved to St Paul. She married Lorentz 4/16/1938 in St Paul. They moved to Forest Lake where Lorentz worked at the Carlos Avery State game Farm. During WWII he was in the Navy and she moved to California to work as a civilian for the Army. In 1945 they moved to Madelia, MN; 1969 to Park Rapids.
