CHRISTENA WISEMAN SUCCUMBS YESTERDAY
LAPEL - Mrs. Christina Wiseman, 89, died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ricker at Lapel, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Wiseman was born in Madison County, south of Lapel, to James and Anna Valentine. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Patriotic Club. Her husband, Luther Wiseman, died in 1948.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Ricker, Mrs. Edith Woodward, Harold and Robert Wiseman, all of Lapel; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Fisher Brothers Funeral Home where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Marion King. The Rev. Harry Smith will assist, and burial will be in Brookside.
