MRS. DANE ADAMS OF PENDLETON DIES
PENDLETON - Mrs. Dane Adams, 79, long-time resident of Pendleton, died this morning in the Scott Nursing Home here.
She was born Feb. 14, 1885, a daughter of James O. and Sarah Valentine, near Lapel. She had spent all of her life in the Lapel - Pendleton community. Her husband, Burchie Adams, died in 1955.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Pendleton Methodist Church, the Needlecraft Club and the Thimble Club, and she was a member and past matron of the local Order of Estern Star.
Surviving are on daughter, Mrs. Myldred Rogers of Pendleton, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Christina Wiseman of Lapel,a nd several nieces and nephews. Her only son, Ralph Adams, died in 1946.
Friends will be received at the Cornell Bright Funeral home after 2 p.m. tomorrow, and the Eastern Star will conduct candlelight services in memory of Mrs. Adams at the funeral home Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Orrin Manifold of Peru, Ind. Burial will be in Grove Lawn Cemetery.
