Louie had a strong testimony of the gospel and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, including a full-time mission with her spouse. She dedicated many years as an ordinance worker in the Las Vegas and St. George Temples.
Louie was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to make quilts, garden and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind and classy lady - the one with the gorgeous white hair.
Louie was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Stan, and eldest son, Phil Stanley Duncan (1940-2004) . She is survived by daughters, Joan (Jim) Brooks, of Las Vegas, NV; Kathryn (Max) Rose of St. George, UT; son, James Kay (Peggy) Duncan of Washington, UT; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 at the Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd, St. George, UT. Interment will be in the Meadow Cemetery later that day.
