Maud Ella Radford, daughter of Daniel H and Everal Hannah Morgan Radford and grand daughter of Thomas and Ann Watkins Morgan, was born 11 May 1892 at Shelton, Bonnevile, Idaho.
Andrew Jackson Ross, son of Melvin and Mary Ellen Hadden Ross and grandson of John Whitlock and Rachel Leah Smith Radford, was born 26 August 1889 at Joseph, Sevier, Utah. They were married 6 January 1912. Andrew died 9 January 1950.
The family of Melvin Ross was closely associated with the Thomas Morgan and John Whitlock Radford families in Utah and Idaho. Although Melvin Ross did not move to Wyoming with the Morgan/Radford/Lovell clan, his brother Richard (Dick) Ross did. And Melvin moved to Idaho later, after the others had settled there.
Andrew Ross worked on the Great Feeder Canal and later helped to remove the Kelley Rock when it was blasted into the Snake River. Andrew and his wife Maud Radford Ross lived in a tent by the Great Feeder. They moved there in the early spring and stayed until late summer. She cooked for some of the men. Several families camped near the Great Feeder during the summer months. Among them were the families of Edward Brown, Beebe and Andrew Ross, Robert Morgan, John Hadden and John Chase. Other men worked on the Great Feeder when they could be spared from their farms. Although the settlers went through many hardships there was also time for enjoyments. On Wednesday nights the Heise Warm Springs was turned over to these working men and their families and at other times bon fire parties were held. -Mrs. Andrew Ross.
