Death Visits Same Family Again Friday
Death visited the same family the second time within twenty-four hours last night, when Mrs. Lee A. Cobb died at her home in Henry. Mrs. Cobb's daughter, Mrs. Henry McDaniel, died in the same residence Thursday night.
Mrs. Cobb, 74, passed away following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Carroll County and was a member of the Henry Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty Malone Phelps.
Joint funeral services for Mrs. Cobb and her daughter will be held Sunday morning at 10:00 o'clock at Palestine Methodist Church, with Rev. Oral Glenn and Rev. L. L. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery. McEvoy Funeral Home will be in charge. The remains will be at the family residence at Henry until time for the services.
Mrs. Cobb is survived by her husband, Lee A. Cobb, to whom she had been married fifty years; four daughters, Mrs. Winnie Sue Brite and Mrs. Ima Lee Edgar, both of Henry County, and Mrs. Elizabeth Christopher and Mrs. Jonnie Barney, both of Los Angeles. Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
