Alta M. Pickrel, 92, of York died Friday (Feb. 27, 1987) in York
She was born Jan. 29, 1895, at Waco to Henry and Marie (Imig) Wilken
She married Hugh Pickrel. He died in 1940.
She worked in the York County Assessor's office for more than 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York and Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vera (Dana) Berryman of Scotia and Mrs. Dorothy (Robert) Tucker of Lincoln; two sons and their wives, Hugh and Alice Pickrel of Rocky Ford, Colo., and Evan and Maxine Pickrel of Alexandria, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Don Hennings of Georgetown, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one grandson and one brother.
