She passed away March 11, 1952 at the Gregory Convalescent Home, where she was a resident for 3 1/2 months. She was 77 years, 9 months, and 15 days of age.
Burial was at Park Cemetery, Carthage, on March 13th, under the direction of Knell Mortuary.

Carthage Woman, 77, Victim of Stroke---Services Tomorrow
Miss Ella Marie Chubb, 77, a resident here 27 years, died at 8:55 o'clock last night in the Gregory nursing home on North McGregor.
Miss Chubb was born May 26, 1874, in Corning, Iowa. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Chubb, passed away here. A sister, Miss Ida M. Chubb, died July 24, 1944.
For several years, following the death of her sister, Miss Chubb made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Don McKinnon of route 4. When she became ill last December she was moved to the Gregory rest home. Last Wednesday she suffered a stroke and her condition had been critical since.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Knell service home. The Rev. Fred Schmidtke, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Park cemetery.
