LEESVILLE - E. Coyle Mahan, 86, of Leesville, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005.
He was born Dec. 2, 1919, in San Antonio, to the late Joseph C. and Melva West Mahan. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of Leesville Baptist Church and Nixon A.F. and A.M. No. 985. He was a past chairman of Production Credit and a past president and charter member of Texas Watermelon Assoc. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors: wife, Iris Grey Richardson Mahan; daughters, Coylene Oliver of Gonzales; son, Joe Mark Mahan of Dilley; sister, Nettie Cook of San Antonio; brother, Bill Mahan of Rosenberg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: sisters, Mildred Harvey and Mary Richard.
Services were 10 a.m. Thursday at Leesville Baptist Church, Dr. Charles Kemble officiated.
Burial was at Leesville Cemetery. Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon, 830-582-1521.
