Jewel Marie Dudenhoefer Lasher, 132 West 26th St., Erie, wife of Dr. L. A. Lasher, a Kittanning native, died Friday morning (June 28, 1963) after an extended illness. Mrs. Lasher was a member of Luther Memorial Church, and was a soloist there for many years. She was a member of the Tuesday morning Music Club, and was active in other music circles. Mrs. Lasher studied music in New York, and graduated from the villa Maria Academy in Music. Mrs. Lasher was past president of Erie County Medical Auxiliary, president of the Woman's Auxiliary of Physicians and Surgeons of the Pennsylvania Railroad, a former member of the Woman's Club, and a member of the Zem Zem Hospital Auxiliary, and active in the bowling league of the auxiliary of the Erie County Medical Society. Besides her husband, Mrs. Lasher is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert L. Lasher, Dr. J. Donald Lasher; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin L. (Jean) Jones, all of Erie; a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Dowd, Port St. Joe, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. Friends may call at the Donald C. Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th St., Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 Sunday from 12 to 5 and 7 to 10, and are invited to services Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Luther Memorial Church, 225 West 10th St., with Rev. Franklin L. Jensen officiating. Interment will be in Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to James Holland, M.D., of Roswell Park Institute, in care of the Donald C. Burton Funeral Home, or research in blood diseases.
