THOMAS M. GEDDES
Thomas M. Geddes, a life long [sic] resident of the Fountain Green country died August 6, 1926, at the advanced age of 79 years, 7 months and 4 days. He was the son of Thomas and Rebecca Geddes who came to Fountain Green in the early '30s and were among the pioneer families who helped to make Hancock county the garden spot of the state.
Thomas M. Geddes was married to Miss Lillie M. Latherow, December 31, 1879. To them were born four children, Arthur and Allen Geddes, of Fountain Green, Mrs. Bertha Lord, of Boston, Mass. and Mrs. Julia Yetter, of Chicago. He is also survived by five little grand-daughters [sic].
He has been a member of the Presbyterian church for many years and has been active in official capacities during that time.
He was a man who was honored and respected by all who knew him.
