Fairview Man Dies in Salt Lake Hospital

Funeral services will be conducted in the Fairview Ward chapel Saturday, Oct 15 at 1 p.m. for Albert Barkdull 62, who died at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City Tuesday. He suffered a series of strokes several weeks ago and had been in a coma since.
He was born Aug 12, 1893 to Samuel and Mary Ann Littlewood Barkdull. He has lived alone in Fairview in his own home since the death of a brother Glen. He is survived by a brother, William, and a sister, Molly whitehead.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. for Albert Barkdull, who died Monday, Oct 10 in the veterans hospital in Salt Lake City. The services were conducted by Bishop Stewart Brown. Prelude and postlude music was played by Loa Allred. Speakers were Budd Pead, Lucille Shumway and Bishop Brown. Musical number where a vocal duet by Hazel Chadwick and Elinor Brown with Caren Chadwick accompanist and a vocal duet by Mr and Mrs Fred Pead with Loa Allred accompanist. Prayer int he home was by Albert Barrus and the grave was dedicated by A. R. Kennington. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery. Pall bearers were Leland Shumway, Elden Allred, Arch Kennington, Hyrum Schwab and Deam and Albert Millward.
Relatives and friends from out of the valley attending the services were Mr and Mrs Wm Barkdull of Inkom, Idaho, Mrs Molly Whitehead of Springville, Utah, Mrs Luella Millward and Albert and Dean Millward of Pocatello, Idaho.
