Married Arthur L. Strong on 15 June 1864 at Champaign County, Illinois

The remains of the late Mrs. Arthur Strong were brought here today from Logansport, Ind., for burial Wednesday. The funeral was announced for 11 o'clock, but was held at 1 p.m., at the Christian church, Rev. S. S. Jones of Danville, assisted by Rev. J. T. Davis, officiating. Interment in Patterson cemetery, southeast of here. Choir, Mrs. J. T. Davis, Misses Hattie and Bernice Ruse, Fred Conden and Walter Peters.

Deceased was born in this township about 70 years ago, and died in Logansport, Ind., of paralysis. Her husband preceded her several years ago. She was a sister of Amanda Swearingen. She leaves five children, Morton, James, Robert, and Dell and Sadie and Ada, all grown to maturity. She was a daughter of John K. and Catherine Patterson. She had left here a few years ago to be close to her children at Logansport. Her popularity was shown in the large concourse of sorrowing friends at the funeral.

Mrs. Sarah Strong, widow of Arthur Strong, died Sunday afternoon after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Bert Davis, 1702 High Street. The deceased was 67 years of age. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock conducted by Rev. Joseph Craig. The remains will be shipped to her former home in Illinois for burial.
