Failure of the automobile driver to see the train was given by the coroner's jury as the cause for the crash early Sunday norning which resulted in the death yesterday of Robert Armbruster and left the driver in a criical condition. The accident occurred at 2:50 a.m. last Sunday at Second and Madison streets. Armbruster was 32 years, 2 months and 18 days old. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Armbruster; three sisters, Mrs. H. L. Lankford, Miss Neeva Armbruster and Mrs. Curtiss C. Mitchell, and one brother, W. C. Armbruster. For a number of years he had been associated with his father in the Armbruster Manufacturing company. During the war he served in the quartermaster corps, and was stationed in Philadelphia. The funeral services will be held at the residence. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL 12-17-1919
