Homer Armbruster, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Armbruster, south Fifth street, is critically ill at St. John's hospital with ptomaine poisoning. Chile which he ate at the grounds of the Mechanicsburg Chautauqua Tuesday night, it is said, is responsible for his condition. Mr. Armbruster had been at the chautauqua grounds this week where he looked after the construction of a number of tents. He was in the best of health and Tuesday evening with a number of others of his friends patronized a chile dealer. Late that night he began to feel sick and yesterday morning became unconscious in which condition he continued intermittently throughout the date. Late in the afternoon he was hurried to this city in an automobile and was taken to St. John's hospital, where medical aid was further given him. Last night he was resting fairly well.
