Arta Nielson, age 91,died at Homestead assisted Living of Rigby. Arta was born October 6, 1916 at Oxford, Idaho a daughter to Amos Howell Lewis and Ruth Porritt Lewis.They were farming family instilling hard work by example and precept.
She married Leland Nels Nielson, March 9, 1934 at Soda Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They were living in southern California during World War II when their oldest daughter Tamara was born. They were living on a ranch in Conant valley, when their oldest son Scott was born.
She worked for the Ririe Merc for several years and then later in Idaho Drug in Rigby.
Survivors include: one daughter, two sons, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and a daughter.
