Daughter of Jesse Hobbs and Celia Ann Lee Hobbs. Wife of Robert Floyd . Sister of Hallie G. LeClere, Horace Greeley Hobbs, Irvin Hobbs, Lillian Greenlee , Alice Hobbs Pate and Hiram Hobbs . Mother of Rockie, Bertha, Herbert, Velma and Harold. Died of coronary Thrombosis. Last residence 2105 Avenue N, Galveston, Texas.

OLD RESIDENT DIES SUNDAY

Mrs. Maggie Lorena Floyd, a resident of Galveston for the past 36 years, died Sunday morning following a long illness. She was 80 years of age.

Mrs. Floyd was born in Bay City, Sept. 15, 1869, the daughter of Jesse and Celia Ann Hobbs, pioneer settlers of Alvin.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Fraser of Galveston and Mrs. Robert Kelly of Detroit; three sons, J. R. Floyd of Houston; H. C. Floyd of Rockport; Robert H. Floyd of San Antonio; one brother, Irvin Hobbs of Alvin, and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Greenlee of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home. Rev. Harrell Rea of Central Christian Church will officiate and burial will be in Oleander Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be T. M. Whittington, L. P. LeClere, Rex Pate, Carl Myers, Harry Hobbs and Oscar Hobbs.

A second notice appeared in the January 3 edition of the same newspaper and gave the same information.
