Murtice Fugate, age 96 of Williston, FL, passed away on April 19, 2012. She was born on October 6, 1915 in Williston, FL to Hardy Lee and Stella (Bigham) Blitch. She was a lifelong resident of Williston, FL. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Williston. She is survived by her sons Leon Fugate (Marie), Morriston, FL and John Fugate (Marilyn), Williston, FL; daughter Carolyn Mikell (Charles), Gainesville, FL; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grand-children and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer Fugate, son Tony Fugate and 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Home-Williston. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at Knauff Funeral Home-Williston with Reverend Will Clark officiating. Interment is to follow at Orange Hill Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donation be made to the Nature Coast Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
