Lucille Lain, age 87, died on Tuesday March 19, 1996 at Franklin United Methodist Home. She was born on January 19, 1909 in Bartholomew Co. Her parents were James and Nettie (Wray) Neville.

She married James Robert Lain on January 29, 1927, he passed away in May 1970.

Survivors include two sons, Joe A. Lain and Meredith "Bud" Lain both of Edinburgh and one daughter Colleen Handley of Edinburgh. Other survivors include one brother, Frank Neville of Greensburg, one sister, Mildred Stillabower of Franklin, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

She was a member of Edinburgh United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Cummins Creek Club and Edinburgh Senior Citizen's. She was employee at Cummins Engine Co., Columbus, retiring in 1972 after 30 years service. She had been a resident of Edinburgh since 1942, having formerly lived in the Camp Atterbury area.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 22 from 4 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Friz officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
