Ethel Lasher, 91, of Adrian, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998 at Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning. She was born on Dec. 17, 1906, Washington Township to Robert and Pearl (foster) Hornberger. Mrs. Lasher was a homemaker. She was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Woman's Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Sugarcreek Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening as her hobbies. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wade (Janet) Lasher of Kittanning; three stepsons, Raymond Lasher, Carl Lasher and Walter Lasher, of Templeton; four grand-children, Scott Lasher, James Kemp, Linda Kiel and Kathy Gray; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilmer Hornberger of Chicora; a sister, Mrs. Doris Collar of Cowansville RD1; five step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Helm, who died in 1945; her second husband, Delbert Lasher, who died in 1991; one son, Robert Helm; one daughter, Dorothy Kemp; one brother Paul Hornberger; one stepson John Lasher; and one step-grandson. LASHER - Friends of Ethel Lasher, 91, of Adrian, who died Sept. 6, 1998, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Cowansville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Montgomeryville Baptist Church with the Rev. David Arthur, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Limestone RD1, Adrian. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
