Beatrice Mary Scholes 86, of Ririe, Idaho, died Friday, 21 March 2008 at her home.

She was born 22 March 1921, in Rigby, Idaho to Walter Adams and Gladys Beatrice Alice Keveren Scholes. She attended school in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School.

16 October 1941, she married Floyd Edmond Freeman in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She lived in River Heights, Utah, Rigby, Antelope, Ririe and Idaho Falls.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various callings, including Primary president, Boy Scout leader and Relief Society instructor.

She was a Charter Member and president of Jefferson County D.U.P., Golden Grain Camp Captain and Bonneville County election registrar for more than 40 years. Beatrice was an avid crocheter, making more than 800 baby booties for relatives and friends.

Survivors include her children: Kent (Sun Nam) Freeman of Ozark, Alabama, and Brian (Ann)Freeman of Logan, Utah, sisters; Virginia K. (Kenneth) Rasmussen of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marjorie Mae (Ronald) Killian of Shelley, Idaho, brothers; Walter K.(Marjorie)Scholes of Smithfield, Utah,and John David K. (Sharen) Scholes of Queens Creek, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, her parents, and a son, George.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday March 24, 2008 at the Ririe Stake Center with Bishop Robert Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.Sunday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and for one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
