Gladys Beatrice Alice Keveren Scholes was born in Milton, Weston Super Mare,Sommerset, England on 10 August 1895, the daughter of Ernest Jesse Keveren and Beatrice Eliza Bower Keveren. She married Walter Adams Scholes on 19 February 1919 in the Salt Lake Temple. Gladys was a talented musician and played the violin in a local orchestra in Utah, she also had a beautiful alto voice. She was blessed with an artistic talent that she freely shared. For several years she served as a 4-H leader sharing her sewing skills with the young people of the community. She and Walter were the parents of 6 children: Walter K., Beatrice Mary, Ernest Keveren, Virginia Keveren, John David Keveren, and Marjorie Mae. She passed away 3 June 1968 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
