__Ruth K. Harman , 85, of 1514 Second St. SW, died Tuesday, March 21, 1995, in her home after a short illness. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Murdoch- Linwood Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Charles Mehaffey will officiate. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
__Survivors include a son, Donald of Amana; a daughter, Phyllis Schlatter of Los Angeles; and a sister, Margaret Henschel of Cedar Rapids.
__Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
__Born April 17, 1909, in Cedar Rapids, to Sam and Jen Smylie, she married Daniel Harman there on April 26, 1928. He died Feb. 6, 1964.
__The casket will be closed at all times.
