Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Alice Wright were held Sunday. Mrs. Wright died at a Wenatchee hospital on Thursday.
She was the eldest daughter of Jesse and Anna Ash and was born at Marshall, Iowa, on August 7, 1869, where the family lived until she was ten years old. At that time her parents moved to Brokenbow, Nebraska, where she spent her later girlhood, attended school, met and later married her schoolteacher, Tomas A. Wright.
They came to Chelan valley as pioneers in 1890 and have resided here almost continuously ever since.
Surviving her besides her husband are; five daughters, Mrs. Jessie Erwin, Chelan, Mrs. Daisy Weaver of Stehekin, Mrs. Adeline Brumbaugh of Oroville, Mrs. Irene Cave and Mrs. Marian Wilhelm, both of Twisp; four sons, Cecil B. and Harvey C. Wright of Tacoma, Ralph E. Wright of Chelan and George L. Wright of Malott. One son, William A. Wright preceded her in death about six years ago.
