Funeral services for Maggie Mae Grant, 80, of Leesville will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. L.C. Williams and Bob Eckerle officiating. Burial will follow in the New Leesville Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of HIxson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mrs. Grant died Monday, Feb. 28, in Byrd Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sandy and Arie Clay Horton; two daughters, Edna Marie Bruton and Catherine Ann Johnson; son, Clyde Cecil Grant; three brothers, William, Doc and Carl Horton; three sisters, Hanna Brown, Dorothy Randolph and Betty Ednas Perry. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Grant Sr., of Leesville; six sons, Oscar Grant Jr., Sonny Spencer and Isaac Grant all of Leesville, Nolan Grant of Mineral Wells, Texas, James Spencer of Los Angeles and Bishop Harold Grant of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Evelyn Graham and Nancy Gardner, both of Leesville; one brother, Rudolph Horton of Palo Alto, Calif.; one sister, Carlee Coleman of Los Angeles; 32 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
