Lafayette Journal and Courier - Mrs. Florence C. Martin, 94 of 8040 S. County Road 1000 E died at 1:45 p.m Monday in Americana Healthcare Center. She had been ill three months and a patient at the nursing facility since March 22. She was born in Montgomery County and spent most of her life in Tippecanoe County. In 1906 she was married at Romney to Robert M. Martin. He farmed in southern Tippecanoe County and preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs. Martin was a member of Wea Willing Workers.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Helen) Schweitzer; a son Elwood D. Martin both of Lafayette and one brother Thomas Conarroe of Crawfordsville.

Friends may call 5-9 p.m Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, Stockwell. Service in Dickerson chapel 10:30 a.m. Thursday the Rev
Larry Johnson officiating. Internment Dayton Cemetery. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One daughter Freda and a grandson preceded in death.
