Mark graduated from Idaho Falls High School. After attending Utah State University, he served in the Air Force as a fighter airplane pilot. On November 2, 1974, he married Laura Jan Ker in Idaho Falls, where they made their home and Mark worked as a truck driver for Gate City Steel. Mark was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings. He was well known for his service as Young Men's Scout Master where he was in charge of 26 young men who all went on to earn their Eagle Awards. He loved the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He was very handy and could fix and work on anything. He loved working with wood and could build anything. Mark was always lending a hand to others. He loved working on old cars and was a great mechanic. He was very skilled at cleaning and restoring guns, was very thrifty, and had a great sense of humor. Survivors beside his loving wife included: daughter Margie (Carl) Whiting of Idaho Falls, ID; sons, Scott (Cheryl) Lynch and Justin (Linzee) Lynch, both of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Craig Cordon (Jewel) Lynch of Ogden, UT; brother, Gary D. (Doreen) Lynch of Mesa, AZ; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services held Monday, October 11th at Wood Funeral Home East. Bishop Jeff Westfall officiated, with Military Rites performed by Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Air Force Honor Guard.
