Kenneth D. Lynch, 89, passed away peacefully due to incidence of age Aug. 28th at IMC McKay Dee.

He was born Nov. 21, 1920, to Roswell D. and Leomia Hetzler Lynch, in Ogden, Utah. Ken graduated from Ogden H.S. and then went on to Weber Academy.

He married his high school sweetheart, Athalene Cordon Lynch, in the SLC Temple on Oct. 8th, 1941. Together they had four children.

Ken moved Athalene to San Francisco while he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Arena. Returning from the Navy, Ken and Athalene moved back to Ogden.

Ken then left to work on the Alaska-Canadian Highway with two of his brothers, Ross and Eugene. He returned to Ogden and started up his own business, Lynch Aluminum Siding. He later moved his family and business to Idaho Falls.

Ken and family moved to Bountiful in 1967 and lived there until his death. He worked for Utah-Idaho Wholesale as a Sales Representative until his retirement.

He was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings throughout his life. His most cherished calling was a SLC Temple Worker for close to 20 years. He was also involved in Scouting with his sons.

His hobbies included fly-fishing, carpentry, enjoying the out-of-doors, and sharing great stories about the ALCAN Highway. He always had some exciting fishing and camping stories too.

Our loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Granduncle leaves behind his children: Craig (Jewel), of Ogden, Gary (Dorene), of WVC, Mark (Laura Jan), of Idaho Falls, and Julie (Jeff) Ford, of Bountiful; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Athalene, who he has missed so much the last six years, preceded him in death. His brothers: Roswell, Eugene and John, and sister, Virginia, also preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be held on Sat., Sept. 4th, at the Bountiful 27th Ward 1135 No. 200 E., Bountiful at 11:00 am. Friends may visit at the church Fri. evening from 6-8 pm or prior to the funeral on Sat. from 9:45-10:45 am.

Deep gratitude from the family goes to the VA Hospital SLC, McKay Dee Hospice Ogden. Special thanks especially goes to Teri Vaughn RN VA Podiatry, home healthcare workers Mike Tanner his aide and Todd Gardner, PT. Deep appreciation also goes to Julie and Jeff Ford, Gary and Dorene for taking care of their Dad the last few months.
