Williams - News of the sudden death of Mrs. W. Logan Williams in Lexington reached here Sunday. Dr. J. F. Peyton was telegraphed for, but before he could go a dispatch announcing her death was received. Mrs. Williams maiden name was Permelia Peyton and she was a daughter of the late M. Speed Peyton, of Hustonville, and was 55 years old. She married Rev. W. Logan Williams some 25 years ago and they had one child, the gifted Dolly Williams, teacher of music at Hamilton College. At the time of her death, which was the result of acute bronchitis, she was at the home of Dr. Lee F. Huffman in Lexington, where Miss Dolly lives. Deceased was an own cousin of Col. T. P. Hill, who describes her as an unusually lovely, christian character, in fact one of the best women he ever knew. For many years she was a member of the Christian church and rendered valuable assistance to her lamented husband in his good work. Several sisters and brothers are left with the orphaned daughter to mourn her loss and friends everywhere sympathize with them all, especially the latter, who loses that best of earthly friends, a good mother. May the God she loves comfort her in the dark hour. The remains were brought to Hustonville and yesterday at 2 o'clock laid beside her husband's after appropriate services.
