His wife had preceded him to that "land beyond" the river twelve years.
.....his request was that his body should be buried there by the side of his faithful wife.

Newspapers show she had a daughter named Julia B. Peyton.
The Tuesday, December 8, 1896 issue of the Semi-Weekly I. J. shows she married Mr. F. W. Chase at Terre Haute, Ind. on the 2nd.
The Thursday, May 7, 1908 issue of The Courier-Journal has an ad: Wanted - Evidence in the death of Frank Chase, who died Jan. 26, 1906, at River Side, Cal. Address Mrs. J. P. M., Stanford, Ky.
The Friday, May 24, 1907 issue of the I. J. shows Mrs. Julia Peyton Chase married Mr. A. C. Martin of Charleston, Ill., in Louisville Wednesday. The Friday, September 6, 1907 issue of the I. J. says he died and was buried at Charleston, Ill.
The Tuesday, August 23, 1910 issue of the I. J. shows Mrs. Julia P. Martin married Mr. J. C. Jenkins at Louisville on Thursday and they will make their home in Tellico Plains, Tn. She was living in Concord, Tn in 1912 when her sister Mary Peyton Hill died.
