BRIGHAM CITY - George Robert Hacking, 88, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2003 in Brigham City.
He was born Jan 7, 1915 in Vernal, UT a son of James Clair and Harriet Bodily Hacking. George married Mary Grant June 25, 1937 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS Church, he served in many positions including high council and bishop.
George was self-employed most of his life and owned and operated George's Tire Store. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and most of all being with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; children, Margaret (Jack) Pounder, Brig-ham City, Grant (Annette) Hacking, Puerto Rico, David (Marilee) Hacking, Brigham City, Maryelen (David) Brown, Pleasant Valley, NY; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Duane (Lucille) Hacking, Wellton AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, sister, two sons, daughter, and grandson.
Services will be Tues. May 6, 2003 11 a.m. Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E, Brigham City, UT. Friends may call Mon. May 5, 2003, 6-8 p.m. and Tues. 10-10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com
