Charles Edmond Yates Died: 11 - 30 - 2006 Mr. Charles Edmond Yates, age 77 of Del Rio, went to be with his Lord Thursday, November 30, 2006. He was a laborer by trade and a member of Round Mountain Baptist Church. Mr. Yates is preceded in death by his parents, Roby Taft and Ollie Bible Yates; one son, Charles Wayne Yates and two sisters, Bernice Stokely and Mae Ellen Evans. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ella Mae Stokely Yates of the home; four children, Danny Yates, Donnie Yates, Linda Arrowood and Delilah and husband Berry Shelton all of Del Rio. He is also survived by his two sisters, Edith Stokely and Janice Yates of Del Rio; four brothers, Eugene and wife Tennie Yates, Olen and wife Mary Yates, Sherrill and wife Micki Yates and Jerry Yates all of Del Rio; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great - grandchidren. Mr. Yates will also be sadly missed by his special great - granddaughter, Chloe Shaylee Sutton; special grandchildren, Ricky Haney, David Shawn Arrowood, Shawna LeeAnne Shelton and Tommy Charles Arrowood II; special friends, Phyllis Gentry and James Sutton and special niece Lisa Evans and a host of special friends. The family will received friends Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tois Seay officiating. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery (Deep Gap).
