Bette was born in Crosby, Minnesota in Crow Wing County to Denzil and Anne Countryman on September 18, 1927.
After high school, Bette went on to earn her teaching degree from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair. After teaching, Bette enjoyed working for ENCOR for 15 years before retiring in 1991.
Bette will be remembered for her beaming smile, good humor, and joy of living.
Bette J. Edwards, 93 of Blair, Nebraska passed away March 24, 2021. A celebration of life will be held in Backus, Minnesota with family in July of 2021.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 26, 2021 in the Blair Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her husband George.
Honorary pallbearers include: sons Michael and Patrick Edwards; grandsons: Zach Edwards and Brock Edwards; great-grandchildren: Parker Edwards, Luke Edwards, Skye Edwards, Ewan Edwards, Callum Edwards, Kaela Bredine and Sammie Bredine.
