Ernest Eugene Boone was the son of William James Boone and Anna Blanche Clanton. He was born while the family lived in Fresno, CA. He married a fellow Kentuckian, Etta Lou Foy on 25 December 1901 in Kentucky. The couple were the parents of one child, Archie Altman Boone. In 1907. Ernest took his family to Curry Co., N. M. to homestead. They stayed there until about 1917 at which time they moved to Memphis TN . After his only son, Archie, entered the University of Florida, Ernest and his wife Etta moved to Gainesville, Florida to be near him. There, Ernest was a butcher and grocery store manager. They stayed in Gainesville until 1950, Ernest and Etta moved to Nashville to be near their only son and his family who were now living there. He and Etta lived in Nashville until his death in 1962. He was a member of the Granny White church of Christ.
