According to his Missouri Death Certificate, John was the son of W. J. Cook and Roslinda Barnard. His wife was named Nina A. Breeden. He was a farmer. The informant was Mrs. J. C. Cook. He died of Atrophic Cirrhosis. The funeral director was Palmer's of Lebanon, Missouri.

He married Nina A. Breeden in Dec. 3, 1891.

"JOHN C. COOK, 69, died at 2:55 pm Thursday at the family home near Dove about 6 miles north of here.

Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Saturday conducted by the Rev. D. O. Hoke. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery. Reared near Cookville, in Pulaski County, he was married 47 years ago last December to Miss Nina Breeden; who survives him as do three children, George, who lives at the family home; Clarence Cook, a teacher in the rural schools of this county; Mrs. Rose Mack of Springfield. Other survivors include three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Cook was a member of the Baptist Church. He and his family have lived in Laclede County for about twenty years."
