Funeral serviced for Charles L. thayer, 62, 3935 english Avenue, a retired supervisor at the United States Avionics facility, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in G. H. Herrmann Sout East Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Thayer died Thursday in Winona Memorial Hospital.
A native of Montpelier, Mr. Thayer was a resident of Indianapolis about 50 years. He retired 11 years ago.
He was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ, the Beech Grove Masonic Lodge and Sahara Grotto.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Emma T. (listed as Emma A. on p. 31:7) Thayer; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Bittner of Indianapolis; three sons, Carl A. and C. Robert Thayer, both of Indianapolis, and Richard L Thayer of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Ivy Shirley of Texas City, Tex., Mrs. Cora Thomas of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Nora Falcon of Muncie, and 12 grandchildren.
