Lorraine was born January 14, 1923, in DeSoto, Nebraska to Herbert and Blanche (Wallace) Jones. She was a graduate of Ft. Calhoun High School.
On November 14, 1941, she was united in marriage to Curtis Johnson Sr. in California. They were blessed with three children.
Lorraine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair, Nebraska for over 50 years. She was known for being a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to bake and always had a supply of cookies on hand.
Lorraine Darlene Johnson of Blair died October 3, 2016, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Roger (RoseMarie Karnish) Johnson; daughter, Elaine (Alan) Engelke; granddaughters, Lori (Matt) Wolff and Jill (Chris) Jensen; great-grandchildren: Frank Thomas Wolff, Emma Lorraine Wolff, Lance Jensen and Emma Rose Karnish.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Johnson Sr.; son, Curtis Neale Johnson Jr.; infant granddaughter, Kellie Engelke; infant great-grandson, Spencer Jensen; brothers, Herbert Jones, Wallace "Bus" Jones and Robert Jones; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
