She was a cook for 30 years in area restaurants. She retired in 1981.
She was a member of Dizzy Dozen Extension Club at Winslow, Nebraska.
She married Charles Horwath August 9, 1957 at Papillion, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children.
Betty J. Horwath, 67 of Fremont, died March 7, 1994 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles; a son, Charles H. of Fremont; four daughters: Linda Snyder of Papillion, NE; Barbara (Mrs. Roger) Zimmerman of Ralston, NE; Kay (Mrs. Bob) Nath of Blair, NE; and Elly Horwath of Fremont; four brothers, Lester of Omaha, Elwood of El Paso, Texas, Harold of Winslow and Ivan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Alex Bauman is officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Municipal Cemetery.
